The retired football superstar David Beckham cried because of the story of a Filipina girl.
During his speech at the United Nation, the athlete discussed the poverty and story of poor Filipina girl who was devastated by the Typhoon Haiyan.
He visited the country as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Beckham reminisced the moment of the tragedy when the poor girl named Viana was just 4 years old when the typhoon hit the Philippines.
"That story will never leave me,” David Beckham said.
It is still fresh in his mind how he met the family of the girl. He was moved by how strong they remained despite of the challenges.
Beckham claims that the world leaders should provide more efforts on taking care of the children of their country.
